Edit the file where you keep it
SimpleTextEditor works with plain text files from the Files app, including iCloud, On My iPhone and supported file providers. It is useful when someone sends a TXT file or you need to change a Markdown or JSON file on your phone.
Make one clear change
Open the actual file, find the part you want to edit and change the text. Save it back, then reopen it to confirm the result. For JSON, the published app provides a formatting action that makes the structure easier to read. Formatting is useful for inspection; it does not establish that a configuration will work in another app.
Choose plain text deliberately
Markdown remains text with formatting markers. JSON remains structured text. Use this app when you want the file itself, rather than a rich-text document. If the file belongs to a service or another project, keep a copy before making a consequential edit.

File access depends on the selected Files provider. This page covers the published iOS/iPadOS app; an Android repository is not evidence of a public Android release.
