Put your thoughts on the screen

When a lesson shows a diagram, write a short explanation beside it. When a movement is hard to follow, circle the part you want to review. DrawOnVideo puts a drawing canvas over playing video, so your notes can stay close to the thing you are watching.

Study a lesson on iPad

Open a video from Files, Photos or the built-in web browser. Play it, then mark a detail with Apple Pencil or your finger. Pause when you need time to write. Use a short label or arrow rather than covering the whole scene. Review the same passage to check whether your annotation explains what you meant.

Review sports or demonstration footage

Start with a short clip you are allowed to use. Pick one detail to examine, such as the position of a hand or an object. Pause at that moment, circle the relevant area and add a question. This is a way to review footage; the app does not measure athletic performance or provide automated coaching.

Keep a still image of a useful moment

The iOS camera control saves an annotated screenshot to Photos. The Android listing also supports saving annotated frames as images. A saved frame is useful for a study note or a single explanation. Check the saved image before leaving the session. Do not rely on the drawing session as your only permanent copy.

Web videos and platform differences

Video sites control their own playback and sign-in behavior. Some embedded players restrict which controls or frames the app can access. The iOS app uses PencilKit and supports Apple Pencil; Android uses finger or stylus input. Store listings and device requirements are separate.

Get started with DrawOnVideo

  1. Choose a short local video, a clip from Photos, or a web video.
  2. Play or pause at the part you want to understand and draw a circle, arrow or short note.
  3. Review the passage with your notes in place. Use the drawing tools to keep the explanation readable.
  4. Use the camera control when you need an annotated still frame, then verify the image in your photo library.

Platforms and support

The verified sharing output is an annotated still image. This guide does not promise exporting a movie with drawings burned into it. Web-player access can vary.
