Journal Reminders is an app designed to help you organize your schedule and keep a journal. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency about our data practices.
We never collect or receive the content you create. Your reminders, journal entries, favorites and notes are yours, and we cannot read them.
The app collects no usage analytics of any kind.
Your journal entries and favorites are stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced through Apple CloudKit to your own private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. That data moves between your devices and Apple under your Apple Account. It is not sent to us and we have no access to it. Your app settings sync the same way through iCloud.
Your reminders and calendar events belong to Apple's own Reminders and Calendar apps. Journal Reminders reads and writes them on your device through the operating system.
The app requests access to your Reminders and Calendar so it can show, add, edit and complete your items, and create reminders from your calendar events. This processing happens on your device. We do not transmit your calendar or reminder content to our servers.
The app can suggest which favorite you are likely to want next, based on when you have completed favorites before. That completion history and the personalized model are created and kept on your device only. They are never uploaded and never synced.
The app uses no analytics service. Earlier versions included Google Analytics for Firebase; it has been removed entirely, and the app now collects no usage data.
If you contact support from inside the app, a diagnostic log is attached so we can reproduce the problem. It contains technical events and identifiers, not the text of your entries. You can see the attachment in the mail composer and remove it before sending, or not send the message at all.
The Settings screen shows a list of our other apps, which the app fetches from our server. The request carries no personal data.
The app uses local and remote notifications to remind you of your scheduled tasks and to keep your iCloud data in sync. These notifications are managed by the operating system. We never send marketing or promotional notifications.
These services are governed by their respective privacy policies.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
